In what was a huge day for Carrigtwohill soccer, Carrigtwohill Community College captured the Junior Cork Schools Girls Soccer title with an impressive 3-0 victory over Presentation College Mitchelstown in Fermoy Thursday 21st of May.

 

CCC were worthy winners on the day, producing an excellent team performance full of quality, work rate and composure from start to finish. While the squad included players from several local clubs including Midleton FC, Leeside FC and Springfield FC, the vast majority of the panel proudly represented Carrigtwohill United AFC, highlighting the incredible work being done within the club at underage level.

 

An outstanding 14 Carrigtwohill UTD players were named in the matchday squad:

Abbie Rall, Abbie O’Farrell, Aine Thornhill, Ava Kidney O’Brien, Eabha Murphy, Emma Cashman, Erica Dorney, Hanna Bernard, Kayla Butler, Lauren Green, Molly Dennis, Olivia O’Sullivan, Rachael Uyi Irabor and Sarah Kelleher.

 

It is fantastic to see the local schools continuing to thrive with the talent currently coming through Carrigtwohill UTD. These young players are now putting their own stamp on the record books, following in the footsteps of previous successful school teams that also featured strong Carrigtwohill representation.
