A massive game awaited Carrigtwohill in Kinsale in determining who was going to get the edge on automatic promotion with 2nd spot up for grabs ,  with Kinsale 3pts ahead of us but playing their final game of the season.

 

With a few players missing we changed things around   with players partnering and playing in new positions .

 

We knew there was a big performance coming , and although ending in a draw it was easily our best performance of the season .

We were the better team from the off, controlling in all areas and very composed on the ball .

 

Throughout the whole game , chances were few from both teams, shots from Krystian, Scott, and josh dealt with in 1st half , and minimal efforts from Kinsale which were  comfortably saved by Julian or blocked by our excellent back line , again Julian getting better and better as games go on .

 

We had massive amounts of corners and side line throws through the game, mainly due to the tireless running of both Ciaran and Liam whose energy and fitness really showed throughout, both with  excellent displays again.

 

To say midfield covered all areas of the field is an understatement , Ollie and Ryan where unreal throughout with their energy and huge engines ,supported by Tom O who covered when partnering and doing an excellent job in the holding area and also when slotted to right back .

 

 Dylan , Kuba , and Tom P were just solid in the back line , giving nothing away, solid tackling and distribution...Krystian changing roles with Ryan, slotting to CB and gave an exhibition with his display , simply outstanding 👏 

 

Throughout the game Scott worked tirelessly,  putting in a great shift, tackling,  shooting and layoffs to wingers and some excellent set piece deliveries ( along with Ryan and tom o ) 

Josh also worked hard upfront and on the wing and had a few half shots which were dealt

with.

With the game closing , we could have taken all 3pts when an excellent delivery from Ryan from a corner was met with a shot from Liam which their keeper stopped on the line but we had nobody to follow up 

 

Again a great display from the lads which they are well capable of doing 👏,  the final push now for promotion 👍 

 

MOTM: 

Literally could have picked anybody from Julian in goals up to Scott as the striker but when some players come and tell us who is should be you have to go with who knows best then..

 

KRYSTIAN MALECKI: 

Simply an outstanding display from start to finish,  read the game perfectly,  didn't miss a tackle or clearance 👏
