Report:
Sunday saw us welcome Watergrasshill to Ballyadam on a scorching hot day, with a large crowd in attendance. We knew that if we won our final game of the season, the very least we could achieve was a playoff for the league title. With Tramore  playing away to Macroom Friday nite anything other than a win for them would see us crowned league champions. So now, we wait and see.

We started the game very brightly, although Watergrasshill proved to be a very dogged side throughout. The breakthrough came courtesy of a fantastic strike from Ryan Barry, who drilled the ball from 20 yards into the bottom-right corner to get us on our way.
Ten minutes later, Eoghan Rall burst down the left wing with great pace, forcing the keeper into an excellent save. Thankfully, the rebound fell kindly to Eoghan and he was able to square it to JP who was able to finish it off nicely to make it 2-0.

At half-time, we looked comfortable, but what really stood out again today was the strength of the squad. Whenever changes are made, it’s nearly like-for-like, which is a massive credit to the entire group and the work they’ve put in not just this season but the last couple of years.
The second half saw us play some excellent football. A brilliant free kick from Roger found Cian O’Connor, who controlled the ball superbly before finishing calmly for our third. It was Cian’s first game back from injury in 3/4 weeks and he was superb throughout marshalling the defence like he was never gone.

A few minutes later, it was 4-0 as Mossie rose highest to power home a thunderous header from a superb Eoghan delivery.
This group has been an absolute pleasure to coach all year. League form Winning 11 games, drawing two and losing just once playing some great stuff throughout.
Hopefully they get the rewards that their efforts deserve and finish the season as league champions. Friday night will tell all.well done lads, special mention to odhran for looking after the ref today in his time of need 😀
