Carrigtwohill had to come from behind to beat a tough Carrigaline A team in Ballyadam. Carrigaline started the game better and put Carrigtwohill under pressure from the start but Will, Jack and Tommy defended well.

 

Carrigtwohill eventually got into the game and we're awarded a penalty when Adrian was brought down after being put through by Shaun but Rian's spot kick came back off the post. Michael, Ajus and Max had a great battle with the Carrigaline midfield but it was scoreless at the break.

 

Carrigaline again started better in the 2nd half and got their reward after 10min when they broke and a shot from the edge of the box beat Ruadhan in the bottom corner to take the lead.

In fairness to the lads they increased their efforts and got back into the game a few mins later. Rian made a great run through the midfield and laid the ball out to Albert on the left who crossed to the back post for Adam to nod home the equaliser.

 

A few mins later, Adrian was fouled out on the right wing after being played in by Oran and Max's free kick went all the way in at the back post for a 2-1 lead. Adrian was rewarded for his hard work soon after when he closed down the Carrigaline defence and won the ball back before rounding the keeper to seal the 3-1 win. There was still time for Adrian and Ariel to have further chances but couldn't add to the scoreline.
