Carrigtwohill travelled to Beaumont Park knowing a win would guarantee promotion to Div 6 next year .

 

Within the first 10 mins, Carrigtwohill were dominating in every position. It was attack after attack from Carrig , Ciarán relentless on the right hand side, being fed constantly from the midfield of Rian and Tom P.

 

It was not long until we opened the scoring , a shot from range from Krystisn finding the net .

The goals and pressure continued , goals from Tom P ( rian assist) Alonzo ( tom p assist) scott ( tom o assist)  and Tom O made it 5- 0 .

 

The back line of Krystian, Tom O, kuba, Isaac and Dylan were so comfortable on the ball throughout,  the midfield of Rian and Tom P outstanding especially in there through balls to Alonzo and ciaran who had numerous shots and crosses in 1st half. 

 

Scott as usual working hard , holding up play and some excellent deliveries from corners which resulted in 2 of our goals 

Julian in goals was literally a bystander throughout

Carrigtwohill: 5

 

Avondale to their credit played better in the 2nd half but Carrigtwohill were just too strong .We were allowed to rotate more frequently and give the lads play time in other  areas 

Again the goals continued , a second from Tom P and Tom O extended our lead

Avondale did pull one back from a free kick before a lovely finish by Alonzo finished the game to make it 8-1

A great win from the lads which guarantees promotion 👏 

 

MOTM: 

In a game where all players were so dominant and goals flowing it sometimes just comes down to drive, attitude, and constantly wanting the ball.

 

Ciarán O Connell played 1st half as if we were constantly looking for an equaliser , relentless running , attack after attack, cross after cross, all he was short was a well-deserved goal ...
