Junior MSL Junior Division 4
Thu, 04 Jun 26 at Ballyadam Park
Carrigtwohill United - 2
Riverstown FC - 5
Report:
Carrigtwohill United Juniors wrapped up their season as they welcomed neighbours Riverstown to Ballyadam Thursday evening.
Not the result they wished for but league standings were already decided before kick-off and this fixture was the final one of the division after being put on the back burner for weeks.
After enjoying a fine season and taking their promotion push to the penultimate league game Carrigtwohill also enjoyed an extended run in the FAI Junior Cup eventually going out to Dublin outfit Rosemount a couple of weeks ago.
This evenings game also marked a special moment for club player Kevin O Sullivan who played his final game for Carrigtwohill United (or so he says) after giving over 20 years service and representing Carrigtwohill United with distinction at every level, Kevin donned the goalkeeper gloves in his last appearance as both regular keepers were unavailable, what a player, what a clubman, we thank you Kevin and wish you all the best in the future.
Thanks also to Riverstown, Rory, his coaches and players for fulfilling the fixture so late in the season.
Carrigtwohill Scorers: Adam Mccarthy & Alex Fitzgerald
Player of the Match: Jerry O Sullivan
