Under-12 CSL Division 2
7th June 2026 at Ballyadam
Carrigtwohill United – 5
Carrigaline United A – 3
First Half
Carrigtwohill lined out with Colm Ó Murchú in goal; defenders Lorcan Thornhill, Oscar Connolly, Charley O’Sullivan, Rian McGovern, Antoni Kadula, and Adam Lane; midfielders Ronan Doyle, Ajus Lepeska, Ariel Lembelembe, John Buckley, Mati Majchrzak, Frank Krysiak, and Cesc Matarin; with Chiemekam Emeakaroha and Oscar Mazur leading the line in attack.
Carrig played with the wind at their backs in the first half, and they made full use of it from the opening whistle.
It was an unlucky start as captain Antoni Kadula was forced off after just two minutes with a broken nose, suffered while making an immensely brave clearing header. The whole squad and coaches wish him a speedy recovery.
Carrig responded superbly and took the lead soon after. Chiemekam Emeakaroha drove forward with a powerful run, carried the ball into space and squared it to Ajus Lepeska, who finished low into the left corner to make it 1–0.
The second goal arrived shortly after. Ariel Lembelembe found Chiemekam Emeakaroha with a clever pass, and Chiemy finished confidently to double the lead at 2–0.
Carrig kept the pressure on, and the third goal came from a moment of individual brilliance. Ariel Lembelembe burst forward on a strong run, cut inside and finished superbly to make it 3–0.
Just before halftime, Carrig added a fourth. Mati Majchrzak broke down the right and picked out Frank Krysiak, who finished well to make it 4–0 at the break.
Second Half
Carrigaline came out stronger after halftime and Carrig suffered a real stutter. Just four minutes into the second half, the score was suddenly 4–2, with Carrig failing to deal with a couple of balls played in behind. The quick double gave Carrigaline momentum and forced Carrig to reset and refocus.
Four minutes later, Carrig settled again. A great ball from Mati Majchrzak split the defence and found Oscar Mazur, who finished strongly to restore control and make it 5–2.
Carrigaline kept pushing, and their third goal came on 50 minutes from a free kick on the edge of the box, curled in well to reduce the gap to 5–3. Despite the setback, Carrigtwohill held strong, defended bravely, and managed the final stages with real composposure to finish deserved winners.
