Carrigtwohill produced an outstanding team performance to secure a well-deserved 5–2 victory over Fermoy in a fast-paced and entertaining encounter.

Fermoy made the brighter start, taking an early 1–0 lead, but Carrigtwohill responded in style. A superb passing move involving Katie L., Pennie and Martyna ended with Rachel calmly finishing to bring the sides level at 1–1.

Pennie then gave Carrigtwohill the lead with an excellent strike to make it 2–1. Martyna came close to adding another before she deservedly got her goal, finishing clinically from a Katie L. assist to extend the advantage to 3–1.

At the other end, goalkeeper Nicola produced a series of outstanding saves to deny Fermoy and preserve Carrigtwohill's lead.

Katie L. continued to be a constant attacking threat throughout the game. After going close on several occasions, she deservedly got her name on the scoresheet, finishing well after great work from Kate B. to make it 4–1.

Carrigtwohill completed a superb attacking display when Martyna grabbed her second goal of the match, once again finishing confidently from another excellent assist by Katie L. Fermoy pulled one back late on, but Carrigtwohill comfortably saw out the game to record an impressive 5–2 victory.

The defence also played a huge part in the win, making life extremely difficult for Fermoy with excellent clearances, superb teamwork and tremendous determination throughout.
