Carrigtwohill A travelled to Mallow to kick off their Div 6 league campaign on Saturday morning. 

 

Like most teams, our panel had changed due to loss of players and introduction of others so we lined out  with players in positions new to them 

It was an even 1st half , but was Carrigtwohill who had the more opportunities, chances falling to Scott , josh and Alonzo. 

But it was Mallow who took the lead , just got past our defence to easily to slot home 

We continued to press , and were awarded a penalty but unfortunately we failed to convert ..Further chances came and went before Ciarán shot from outside the box and found the top corner for a great equaliser

The 2nd half continued in same manner , Carrigtwohill slightly the better team but yet again it was Mallow who took there opportunities and were 3-1 up out of nowhere .

Carrigtwohill dominated the last quarter, was a constant wave of pressure coming from midfield,  where ollie and Tom P were outstanding 

 

We eventually pulled one back through Josh pouncing on a defence slip up 

Again  we pushed and pushed and we thought we found the well-deserved equaliser through Scott but was strangely ruled offside

MOTM 

Several outstanding performances throughout,  Krystian at CB, Ciarán on the wing , tom p in the middle but it was his partner : Ollie Berzins who literally gave everything on the day, covering every blade of grass  and left everything on the pitch .
