Carrigtwohill United started the game on the front foot and created two early chances through Jack Lombard and Brian Wiecek. Nathan Joseph then produced a sublime finish from a tight angle to give Carrigtwohill a deserved lead.

After 20 minutes, Josh, who had made a brilliant start to the game, had to leave the field following a brave header and a nasty clash of heads. Rockmount soon equalised after a ball down the wing was followed by a good cross and neat finish. Carrigtwohill continued to create chances, with a great move involving Dylan, Eoin, Aaron and Brian ending with Brian's shot being saved. However, on the stroke of half-time, Rockmount took the lead with a close-range finish to make it 2–1 at the break.

Carrigtwohill started the second half slowly and Rockmount extended their lead with goals in the 54th and 59th minutes to make it 4–1. The team never gave up, though, and in the 63rd minute Isaac O'Riordan produced a moment of brilliance. Receiving the ball inside his own box, Isaac ran almost the entire length of the pitch before firing an unstoppable shot into the bottom-left corner to make it 4–2.

Jamie made several outstanding clearances throughout the game, while Sam and Karol also played their part and Bart performed well in goal. Aaron Sheehan, Rafa, Ryan Moore and Alameen all came on and made a positive contribution, but unfortunately it wasn't to be for Carrigtwohill.

Man of the Match: Isaac O'Riordan, who capped an outstanding performance with a superb solo goal.
