Carrigtwohill United 2–0 Tramore

Tramore proved strong opposition at Ballyadam today, playing with the wind in the first half and creating the better of the chances. Carrigtwohill had to defend resolutely, with Jack Gilley excellent in goal, while Josh Kirby, Jake O’Sullivan and Callum Foley worked hard to keep the visitors at bay. Tramore looked the stronger side heading into half-time, but the lads battled brilliantly to keep the game level.

The second half was a different story. With the wind behind them, Carrigtwohill were much more attacking from the whistle and began putting the Tramore defence and goalkeeper under serious pressure. In the 57th minute, Robert Cotter produced a superb volley that lobbed the keeper to give Carrigtwohill the lead. Tramore fought back and created opportunities, but Zack Green was outstanding in central defence, helping to keep the visitors at bay.

There were also strong contributions from Evan Foley, Kyle O’Sullivan and Alan O’Brien, as Carrigtwohill continued to work hard right to the finish. Then, in the 92nd minute, Kaya Guler rose brilliantly to power home a header and seal a deserved 2–0 victory. Another excellent team performance and a clean sheet to match. 👏💙💛
