Under-12 Boys Local Cup

4th October 2026 at Ballyadam Park

Carrigtwohill United 2–3 Douglas Hall

Carrigtwohill United welcomed a well-organised Douglas Hall side to Ballyadam on Sunday for the first round of the U12 Local Cup. Carrig found it difficult to get going in the opening half and had to soak up plenty of early pressure. However, they took the lead when Chiemi's powerful right-footed strike was saved by the goalkeeper, with Ronan in the right place at the right time to finish into an empty net.

Douglas Hall responded with three quick-fire goals to leave Carrigtwohill 3–1 down at half-time. The lads came out for the second half with much greater focus and intensity and produced a much-improved performance. With around 10 minutes remaining, Chiemi produced a brilliant piece of individual skill, rounding several players before drilling a hard, low left-footed shot past the keeper to make it 3–2.

Carrigtwohill never gave up and continued to push right to the final whistle in search of an equaliser, but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

A much stronger second-half performance and plenty of positives to take from the game. Well done to all the lads for their effort, and best of luck to Douglas Hall in the next round. 👏💙💛
