Carrigtwohill United A 7
After a start stop beginning of the season with a walkover and weather warnings the lads finally played their second league game.
Carrigtwohill started strong with some good passing moves and some real threat down the wings. A couple of early chances from John Buckley and Oscar Mazur were stopped well by the Blarney goalkeeper.
Carrigtwohill’s breakthrough came from a well-placed goal kick which fell to John Buckley who ran through the Blarney defensive line and cooly finished low to the corner.

Carrigtwohill soon found themselves up 2-nil on 20 minutes when a well worked one-two between Mati Majchrzak and Ajus Lepeska had Ajus through on goal to finish strong into the back of the net.
Carrigtwohill were very strong at the back quickly stopping any Blarney attacks with Antoni Kadula, Klaidas Dedela, Rian McGovern, Adam Lane, Oscar Connolly, Charley O’ Sullivan and Colm Ó Murchú behind in goal cleaning up any long balls played through.

A deserved third came before half time when Frank Krysiak found Ajus Lepeska who went past two Blarney players and finished well past the keeper.
Carrigtwohill were well deserved of the 3-nil lead at half-time.

Blarney came out fast and strong, to their credit, at the start of the second half, but the centre midfielders of Ronan Doyle, Cesc Matarin and Ajus Lepeska helped by Klaidas Dedela who seemed to be winning tackles everywhere quickly got back in control of the ball and started Carrigtwohill going forward again.
The fourth came from some good passing across midfield resulting in a pass from Ajus Lepeska which released John Buckley in behind the Blarney defence to calmly finish in the bottom corner.
Carrigtwohill were well on top at this point and looking extremely dangerous from the wide areas through John Buckley, Mati Majchrzak, Oscar Mazur and Frank Krysiak as well as up front with Lorcan Thornhill and Dylan Carroll.
The next two goals came from these areas. The fifth was another great long pass from Colm Ó Murchú which released Oscar Mazur who cut in with the ball from out wide to finish through the legs of the oncoming goalkeeper.

Some more fast passing and quick interchanges lead to the sixth goal when Ajus Lepeska got the ball and squared it to Mati Majchrzak who made an intelligent run from the wing to finish first time.
The seventh goal was well worth the wait and came when a great corner from Charley O’ Sullivan fell to the feet of Cesc Matarin at the edge of the box who was facing his own goal and he somehow managed to twist and turn around the three Blarney players surrounding him to hit an unstoppable shot into the top left corner.

Carrigtwohill created plenty of more chances through some great passing and moving and Dylan Carroll was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet after a tight offside call saw his goal disallowed.
A great day out for the lads who continued their good start to the season but a lot more challenges to come and a lot more football to be played.
