Carrigtwohill United U12 B started strongly. On 5 minutes, Chiemekam Emeakaroha won the ball in midfield, beat two defenders, and finished calmly to open the scoring. Five minutes later, James Buckley played a well-weighted pass through the Churchvilla defense, and Chiemekam Emeakaroha added his second with another composed finish.
Churchvilla were then awarded a penalty, but Kacper Malecki produced a brilliant save—diving to his right and tipping the shot over the bar.

Just before halftime, they were awarded a second penalty. Once again, Kacper Malecki stepped up—saving the initial shot and then reacting instantly to block the rebound. A stunning double save that kept Carrig in front at the break.
In the first half, Kacper Malecki was outstanding in goal, backed by defenders Ben O’Brien, Jakob Maloney, Matthew Ruddle, Leo Mendes, and James Howick, who worked well together to limit Churchvilla’s chances.
In midfield, Conor McCarthy (captain), Odhran Healy, Cian Mackessy, James Buckley, Finn Murphy, Glen Mathew, and Chiemekam Emeakaroha combined effectively, showing good movement and passing throughout the half.
Up front, Aaron Quinlan and Colin Ahern worked hard to stretch the opposition and link play with the midfield.
Second Half
Churchvilla came out fast after the restart and, five minutes in, scored the equalizer with a well-built attack that broke through Carrig’s defensive line to make it 2–2.
They continued to dominate for the next ten minutes, and their pressure eventually told—Churchvilla took the lead with a well-taken goal to go 3–2 up.
But Kacper Malecki kept Carrig in the game, producing a string of fantastic saves to deny further damage. His positioning, reactions, and bravery were top-class, frustrating Churchvilla and keeping Carrig within reach.
Carrigtwohill grew back into the game in the final ten minutes, creating several good chances. The team pushed forward with renewed energy, but Churchvilla defended well—clearing danger and closing down space quickly.
Then, in the final minute of normal time, Carrig won a penalty after a push inside the box from a corner. Cian Mackessy bravely stepped up, showing great composure and technique to slot home the equalizer and make it 3–3.
And just one minute into added time, Cian Mackessy played a clever ball in behind the defense. Chiemekam Emeakaroha raced onto it, beat the keeper to the ball, and coolly slipped it through his legs to complete his hat-trick and seal a stunning 4–3 win for Carrigtwohill.
Deep into added time, Churchvilla won a free kick just outside the box. The strike was heading for the top corner, but Kacper Malecki leapt to tip it onto the crossbar. As the rebound dropped dangerously in front of goal, he scrambled back and scooped the follow-up shot off the line—an unbelievable double save that sealed the win and capped off a heroic performance.
