Midleton FC – 4
Carrigtwohill United - 1

First Half
Carrigtwohill lined out with Colm Ó Murchú and Oscar Mazur as keepers; defenders Antoni Kadula, Adam Lane, Rian McGovern, and Lorcan Thornhill; wide players Frank Krysiak, John Buckley, and Ariel Lembelembe; midfielders Ronan Doyle, Cesc Matarin, and Ajus Lepeska; and Chiemekam Emeakaroha and Mati Majchrzak up front.

Carrig started really well, pressing hard and working all around the pitch to put Midleton under pressure. The back line of Antoni Kadula, Lorcan Thornhill, Rian McGovern, and Adam Lane, supported by Ronan Doyle in midfield, defended superbly — making strong tackles, tracking runners, and showing great composure under pressure.
Going forward, John Buckley, Ariel Lembelembe, and Frank Krysiak caused problems from the wings, well supported by Ajus Lepeska and Cesc Matarin in the middle, who linked play intelligently and kept Carrig on the front foot. Up front, Mati Majchrzak and Chiemekam Emeakaroha worked tirelessly, pressing defenders and looking dangerous whenever they got on the ball.

Despite this resilience and attacking intent, Midleton struck first after 10 minutes — a great ball from the right was lifted over the defence onto the onrushing striker, who finished clinically. Midleton doubled their lead before the break when a corner evaded everyone in the box and snuck in at the back post.
Halftime score: Carrigtwohill 0 – 2 Midleton

Second Half
Carrigtwohill started the second half really strongly, playing with intensity and confidence all over the pitch. Their efforts were rewarded on 40 minutes when Ariel Lembelembe made a powerful run down the right and delivered a precise pass into the middle. Chiemekam Emeakaroha met it perfectly and struck a superb shot with his left foot from outside the box, finding the top corner to bring Carrigtwohill back into the game.

On 50 minutes, Carrig failed to clear a ball played across the goal from the right, and a Midleton player finished from close range to restore their two‑goal cushion. Midleton sealed the contest with a fourth goal from a corner, well won and converted by their player.
Both Colm Ó Murchú and Oscar Mazur were solid, composed, and calming between the posts, giving the team confidence throughout.
A fantastic performance by Carrigtwohill, especially considering Midleton are top of the Premier Division and two divisions above us. It really showed what the lads are capable of, and every single player played well and can be proud.
Goal
  • Chiemekam Emeakaroha – 1 goal (40’, left foot, top corner from outside the box)
