Report:
The girls travelled to Beaumont Park to take on Avondale yesterday after two good training sessions this week.

The first half was highly competitive with both sides having several good chances. The opening goal was a superb passing move started by Hanna in midfield who played a ball in behind the defence and was finished by Pheobe. However, Avondale were not to be outdone and managed to get in behind our defence after a quick break and Lucy in goals produced a breathtaking one-handed save when 1v1 with the attacker to keep the score 1-0 at half-time.

The second half was more of the same, but we withstood some dangerous moments to continue to pile pressure on the home side and eventually, Lauren found some space on the edge of the box and scored into the bottom left corner of the net.
The girls have competed very well in every game in this highly competitive division although results have not always gone their way. However, the result yesterday was never in doubt and they are showing signs of their improved work in training.
