Another fast starting, high tempo & work like team performance from Carrig earned them 3 points which were definitely deserved! 
Carrig were up against a good team in Churchvilla in what looked on paper to be a 50/50 game. 

However it was Carrigs work rate, pressure and aggression today that stopped Churchvilla finding their rhythm. Carrigs defence was impenetrable with Captain Callum Foley as usual leading by example and making sure no ball or player went through them unchallenged today! Kyle, Alan, Zac and Patrick also in form and playing at the top of their game ! 

With Carrig dominating possession in the first half they created 3 really good scoring chances with Evan putting his shot from outside the box just wide, Liam hitting the crossbar and Tundae Kareem hitting the post. Unlucky to have gone in at half time without a few goals in the bag ! Kai and Gary made some excellent runs and crosses and were a handful for the Churchvilla defence ! 

Second half started much slower for Carrig.  Churchvilla had a few opportunities but again our defence was exceptional in chasing them down. Carrig persisted on the goal hunt and Ben Kelly almost had a fine assist with a great run down the wing & a well measured cross that found Tundae who struck on target but was saved by the Churchvilla keeper.

Carrig again showed their team spirit and character by battling on to get the goal they deserved. It took until the 73rd minute for Liam to dribble past a few Churchvilla players and send them ball home over their keeper in what was an excellent goal ! 

Luke, Darragh, Jack and Jake all played their parts in another great team performance!
