Carrigtwohill United Juniors were unlucky not to get something out of this fixture as they turned in one of their better performances so far this season. 

Goalkeeper Francys Rodriguez pulled off a fine double save from a Rockmount penalty on the half hour mark while at the other end Paul Browne, Calvin Fitzgerald and Jason Collins had efforts thwarted by the visiting keeper in an even first half.

The second half followed suit with both sides competing well and Carrigtwohill looked the likelier to break the deadlock with Pat Horgan and Kevin O Sullivan going close but in the 83rd minute Rockmount broke and found themselves with a man over at the far post, his effort was parried by Rodriguez but fell into the path of the Rockmount striker to tap home.

The home side kept going in search of an equaliser but couldn't find a way through the Rockmount defence and were caught with a late 2nd goal in the 93rd minute.

Best for the home side were O Sullivan, Collins & Horgan.
