Report:
In our first game in nearly 2 months the lads did themselves proud in what was a very tough game in Carrigaline on Sunday morning. The first half proving very frustrating where we dominated the ball but couldn’t find a way past an in form Carrigaline goalkeeper (and a crossbar that’s still rattling from a 35yrd free kick from Sam). Thankfully with 5 mins before halftime Sam showed great composure with a neat finish to put us 1 up. 

The 2nd half followed a similar pattern where our football was doing the talking in a very competitive battle, 15 mins in Sam again showed great composure in getting his 2nd of the game and the very least that the team deserved. The best was saved for last. 

A fantastic team goal expertly finished by Ryan Mathew, recycling the ball from the right hand side switching play, playing through the lines and Paulie getting a lovely assist for Ryan. Every single player contributed massively on the day and got great experience playing in different positions. 

Thanks also to Luke who stepped up when called upon and took his place in goal where he showed great composure. We could name everyone, but I’d like to give Paulie and Sam a special mention both stepping up with a bit off magic when the tie was in the balance. Well done lads…
