Carrigtwohill United – 0
Riverstown – 3
Riverstown – 3
After a wonderful win in their last league outing, the girls kicked off at Ballyadam in confident fashion. However, it took them a little time to adjust to the weather conditions, in that it wasn’t cold and it wasn’t wet which was distinctly different to their previous outings !
The match was nip and tuck for the first 10 minutes with a solid backline of EmmaW, Aisling, Kate and Robyn in no mood to give up any territory. An early chance for Ameila who was playing up front was a early warning that the Carrigtwohill girls were on form.
However, they fell behind to a Katie McCabe type inswinging corner which went directly into the net.

Rather than letting this get to them, the girls upped their game and EmmaQ, Isabelle, Maisie and Zoe operating in midfield were now winning their battles and Saorise who was now leading the line had a wonder shot barely saved by the Riverstown keeper.
The second half was more of the same, with both teams doing great work and providing great entertainment. Aislish who has swapped her goalkeeper jersey to play centre back was in fine form in what was now a back 3 with Faye and Amy playing her first match. Kaitlin in midfield was dominating the play and pushing the team up the the pitch but despite several chances, the goals would not quite come for the home side.
This was another super performance by the girls and signs of players making great strides in playing together with new players getting more familiar with their roles. Well done to all
