Report:
Carrig returned today for their first league match in almost six weeks to take on a decent team in Everton this morning. As expected Everton were a tough & physical side with a solid defence & had some decent players in midfield and attack. 

Thankfully Carrig had better & more motivated players all over the pitch today and were hungrier for the “W” showing great attitude, work rate & team spirit !! 
It took just 15mins for Callum O’ Byrne to score Carrigs first goal when the ball broke to him outside the box after a corner kick and he shot beyond the Everton keeper . Carrig 1-0.

Gary & Liam played well upfront giving Everton defence a lot to do and were unlucky not to have scored a few goals as well. Kai and Robert played well on the wings and made some excellent runs today.
Jack Gilley was busier than usual and was tested early on & a good few times throughout the match when Carrig gave away a few free kicks just outside the box !!! Jack was on the ball and made some outstanding saves for the team today!

Callum F (Capt), Kyle, Alan, Darragh, Zac & Patrick all defended there positions well and gave very little room to the opposition ( tough bunch to get passed) ! 

Second half was back and forth with both teams having chances.
52mins Callum O Byrne scored another great goal. Carrig 2-0.
Ben Kelly made another fantastic run down the right wing and sent a perfect pass to Luke Guerin who played an excellent game today but shot the ball just wide. Was unlucky not to score today. Jake was also contributed well when he came on.
Evan played well and made a great clearance off the line with a header to stop a near certain Everton goal.

80mins in and against the run of play Everton scored when the ball broke inside the Carrig box and for the first time Everton today got to it first and scored 2-1.
