Report:
On a beautiful Sunday morning we welcomed Riverstown to Ballyadam for a much awaited league encounter.
As the first half got underway both teams looked a little nervous with a couple of half chances but then Carrigtwohill settled into the game with some crisp passing in tight areas.

As the first half got underway both teams looked a little nervous with a couple of half chances but then Carrigtwohill settled into the game with some crisp passing in tight areas.
The back four of Charlie McCann, Mathew Board, Oskar Luszczek and Flynn Connolly were in superb form to keep Riverstown to long range efforts which were superbly handled by goalkeeper Jamie Gray with ease.
On the 17th min Riverstown put a few quick passes together and opened the scoring.
The reaction from the squad was instant with Alex Doyle, Noah Foley with Alex Coyne taking control in the midfield area and started put fantastic passes through to split the defence. Carrigtwohill came close to equalizing on a few occasions but then on the 25th min Alex Doyle keeper his eyes on a clearance from the Riverstown defender and hit a fantastic volley which clipped the post and went in to bring the score to 1-1 The front 3 of Rian Newman, Jake Gleeson and Miloz Giec were putting in serious running chasing down everything and were very unlucky to not go 2-1 up.

Zac O’Sullivan, Simas Valys, Colm Curran and Adam O Regan were introduced as the 2nd half progressed.
These 4 lads fitted into their role immediately.
As the game entered the final 20 mins players like Charlie McCann, Alex Doyle, Flynn Connolly and Mathew Board were rock solid in their overall play, then with some crisp one touch passing Carrigtwohill were attacking the Riverstown defence and with a perfect pass to Oskar Luszczek who then struck a firmly placed shot but the keeper could not keep hold of it.
Carrigtwohill 2-1 up with less than 10 mins left and kept pushing forward for a 3rd goal and came close towards the end.
