This was an exciting Cup tied that was played in a touch of nice spring weather as they Carrigtwohill United girls took on their higher division opponent from Kanturk.
This was a match that would test the improvement the girls are making over recent matches and they did not disappoint. 

Ailish in goals had another wonderful performance making some fine saves with a back-line of Robyn, Aisling, Amy and EmmaW making it super difficult for Kanturk to get near the goals. 
The visitors managed to get an early goal and this perhaps framed the match as Carrigtwohill needed to push for goals from the start.

Great work in midfield by Kaitlin, Maisie, EmmaQ and Searlaigh was causing the visitors a lot of trouble and Zoe and Amelia upfront were a constant threat.
Isabelle, operating in a central role was again a dynamo in midfield and carried the fight to Kanturk at every opportunity.

Unfortunately, the result did not go their way as can sometimes happen when you are chasing from early in the game but it was another excellent performance and well done to Kanturk who were very good on the day and we wish them the best of luck in the next round.
