Report:
Carrig showed up in a determined mood again this morning & made sure there was no slip up against Riverstown. 
Carrig started well and put pressure on Riverstown immediately with Liam & Ben both playing brilliantly and making some excellent runs down the wings. 

Callum O B was superb again today, winning possession for the team and every breaking ball that came his way. Gary Og Horgan had an outstanding game with his passing, running and shots on target giving Riverstown players a major headache upfront all day !
First goal arrived on 7 mins when a corner taken by Gary Og was sent into the box and deflected off a Riverstown player and into his own goal. 1-0. 

A few minutes later Evan had a shot on target after a nice pass from Liam but was saved by the Riverstown keeper.
Carrig had a couple more decent goal chances in the first half and with a bit more luck could have gone in at half time with 3 or 4 goals on the board. 
Tundae & Kai came on in the second half and created chaos upfront for Riverstown who were struggling to keep pace with their runs. 
53 mins in & Tundae timed a perfect pass to Gary Og who placed his shot like a pro and scored Carrigs second goal. 2-0

Carrigs defence was firing on all cylinders and led by Callum Foley (Capt). Kyle made some excellent clearances as did Alan & Darragh. Patrick as usual was courageous in his tackles. Jack Gilley had another great game in goal & saved a high long distance shot from a Riverstown player with ease ! 

Robert, Zach & Jake all played well when they came on and added to a really great team effort !
On 60 mins from a fast kick out & against the run of play the ball broke to a Riverstown forward who for once all day got through Carrigs defense & scored. 2-1.

Carrig responded instantly and began peppering the Riverstown goal with shots.
68 mins in and Tundae Kareem scored a magnificent goal with a brilliant strike that gave the Riverstown keeper little or no chance. 3-1.
