Report:
Sunday morning saw the arrival of Youghal United to ballyadam to compete in the local cup. Youghal who operate in a far higher division (division 2) were always going to be a very tough opponent but we as a coaching team couldn’t be more proud of how our lads performed. 

16 players used and each and every one of them left their mark on the game. The game started very evenly but by the 20-minute mark we found ourselves 2-0 down after conceding 2 very soft goals. Our work rate, physicality, game awareness of knowing when to defend and when to attack was very mature and impressive. 

Sam Dolan scored a beautiful 20-yard free kick with about 10 mins remaining but we just couldn’t quite get the equaliser. Well done Youghal who move on to the next round but we see the same opposition in Ballyadam again Friday night in the founders cup so hopefully another cracker in store
